Thanksgiving Menu Template
Download the free sheetYou have agreed to host Thanksgiving, but the menu is scattered across messages: someone offered dessert, another guest is bringing a vegetable, and nobody has decided which serving dishes are needed. Put the meal in one place before you shop. This printable menu gives each course a line for the dish, the person bringing it and the serving dish it needs.
Plan the meal before the grocery trip
Start with the main course and a vegetarian option if your guests need one. Fill the potato, vegetable, stuffing, sauce, bread, dessert and drinks rows with the dishes you actually intend to serve. Leave an undecided dish blank instead of treating an idea as a commitment. Ask anyone bringing food to confirm the dish and whether it needs reheating.
Write the dinner date, serving time and host at the top. In the final column, assign a platter, bowl or basket. This small check is useful the night before dinner: you can put out the serving pieces and discover missing utensils while there is still time to borrow them.
A simple sheet to print or edit
The download is an editable XLSX with a clean, blank menu. Open it in your spreadsheet app, type your choices, or print it in landscape on Letter paper and write by hand. Set the print scaling to fit one page. There are no sample guest details to erase, and no account is needed.
When your headcount changes
This free sheet records choices; it does not calculate quantities. If eight guests become twelve, the paid Host Planner recalculates the turkey estimate and side quantities, consolidates repeated ingredients in a shopping list and works backward from dinner time. Keep the free menu as your shared meal plan and use the workbook for the changing numbers behind it.
